Highlights
I wrote a speculative future-news article: because burning joss paper conflicts with ESG principles, temples launch an “on-chain ancestor worship” campaign.
Incense and joss paper were replaced with ERC-1155 NFTs, which were “burned” by sending them to a burn address; divination blocks were simulated with pseudo-random functions; ancestral tablets became NFTs that could even be staked and traded.
The article won the Future News Insight Award. I got a photo with Audrey Tang, who was Digital Minister at the time, and received the ministry's first NFT
